Preview: Branson Pirates vs. Parkview Vikings
Branson is 2-8 against Parkview since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Branson Pirates on the road again and play against the Parkview Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Branson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Parkview is ranked 30th).
Branson suffered their biggest loss yet this season back in December of 2023. They were the victim of a rough 68-47 loss at the hands of Sparta.
Parkview posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Lebanon 59-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Parkview has posted against Lebanon since February 17, 2018.
Branson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Parkview, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Things could have been worse for Branson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 79-61 loss to Parkview when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Branson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
