Baseball Game Preview: Cobre Indians vs. Socorro Warriors

For the second straight game, Cobre will face off against Socorro. The Indians will square off against the Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cobre knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Socorro likes a good challenge.

Cobre's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Socorro. Considering the Indians have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jesus Lopez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Randy James Dominguez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cobre is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Socorro, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
