Baseball Recap: San Leandro Pirates vs. Arroyo Dons
San Leandro lost against Arroyo back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell just short of the Dons by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Dons since April 12, 2019.
San Leandro got a good showing from Ky Lenn Smith, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Smith has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
