Football Recap: Maui Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Maui and King Kekaulike on Friday hardly resembled the 14-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Sabers lost 41-20 to the Na Ali'i. The Sabers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.

Braylen Arnise threw for 85 yards on nine of 16 attempts. Paula Mataele was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards.

Kingston Goliday was a one-man wrecking crew For King Kekaulike. as he threw for 124 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Maui now has a losing record of 1-2. As for King Kekaulike, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maui will head out to face off against Kamehameha Maui at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for King Kekaulike, they will venture away from home to challenge Lahainaluna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
