Baseball Game Preview: Buchanan Bears vs. Clovis East Timberwolves

For the second straight game, Buchanan will face off against Clovis East. The Bears will welcome the Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Buchanan 3.2, Clovis East 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Buchanan is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Clovis East just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves.

Clovis East is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Buchanan, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 13-1 and their overall record down to 22-4.
