Volleyball Recap: Acalanes Takes a Loss

If Acalanes was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Saint Mary's last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Acalanes Dons lost 3-0 to the Moreau Catholic Mariners on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now lost four in a row.

Acalanes took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acalanes will venture away from home to challenge Amador Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Moreau Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
