Volleyball Recap: Nixa Eagles vs. North Point Grizzlies
Nixa lost against North Point back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 2-1. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Grizzlies 25-17 in the first set.
Nixa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-22.
Vlad Syrnikov paced Nixa's offense, picking up ten kills. Syrnikov got some help from Bryce Peebles and his 27 assists. Syrnikov also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Zakhar Syrnikov, racking up two apiece.
Nixa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for North Point, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.
