Volleyball Recap: Downey's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Downey had won two straight games and Sofia Rosemire did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Golden Valley Cougars with plenty of help from Rosemire, who had 11 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Downey walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-11.

When it comes to explaining why Golden Valley lost, don't look at Kaylin Scheurich. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and one assist.

Downey's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Golden Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Downey and Golden Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights will challenge rival Pitman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Golden Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Los Banos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
