Baseball Recap: Zane Trace Beats Westfall for Their Third Straight Win

Zane Trace extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 14-3 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Westfall Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Westfall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

For Westfall's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Wolfe, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Zane Trace will take on rival Unioto at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 3.3, the Shermans 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Westfall is set to challenge their familiar foe Adena at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
