Basketball Game Preview: Cienega Bobcats vs. Nogales Apaches

The Cienega Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Nogales Apaches at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cienega knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 games -- so hopefully Nogales likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Cienega was able to grind out a solid win over Buena, taking the game 66-58.

Meanwhile, Nogales didn't have too much trouble with Flowing Wells on Friday as they won 74-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Apaches.

Cienega's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Nogales, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Everything came up roses for Cienega against Nogales in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the team secured an 85-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cienega since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
