Athol came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Belchertown, but Coleman Longley wouldn't allow it. The Orioles came out on top against the Bears by a score of 30-18 on Friday thanks in part to Longley, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. He is becoming a predictor of Belchertown's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

Belchertown's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ronan Mosher, Ethan Longley, and Jackson Goodsell, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Belchertown's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Athol, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Belchertown and Athol will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Orioles see the field they'll take on Pathfinder RVT at 9:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Athol, their break will end when they face Mahar Regional at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
