Basketball Recap: Brookfield Comes Up Short at Home Against Bethel + How To Watch

Brookfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 66-38 defeat at the hands of the Bethel Wildcats on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Max Pshenianikov was Brookfield's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. John Lopes held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Cole Tobacco took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.

Elliot Hellmann had an outrageously good game for Bethel as he went 7-for-16 on his way to 21 points. Brody Kasack was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Bethel, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Brookfield will head out on the road to square off against Joel Barlow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bethel will take on Darien in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
