Avon won the last time they faced Solon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Avon's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Solon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avon will square off against Midview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Solon, they will face off against Stow-Munroe Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
