Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Arvada West Wildcats. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakewood took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Lakewood still got an impressive performance from Julianna McGuire, who had 18 digs and three assists. McGuire is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Arvada West, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 13-9.

Lakewood has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Evergreen on the 25th. As for Arvada West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Castle View on the 28th.
