Basketball Game Preview: Roeper Roughriders vs. Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers

Roeper is 0-3 against Our Lady of the Lakes since March of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Roeper Roughriders will challenge the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roeper is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 74-27 victory over Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit. The contest marked the Roughriders' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Lakes beat Bishop Foley 51-41 on Friday.

Our Lady of the Lakes has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. Roeper's record is now 7-17.

Roeper came up short against Our Lady of the Lakes when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 52-47. Can Roeper avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
