Softball Recap: Marion Harding Takes a Loss

Marion Harding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Highland Fighting Scots, falling 21-6. If the Presidents were looking for revenge after losing 9-6 to the Fighting Scots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aleena Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. Rylee McKinniss also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Marion Harding's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Highland, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Fighting Scots beat Marion Harding by a score of 8-4 on Thursday.
