Soccer Game Preview: Monticello vs. Albemarle

Monticello is 0-10 against Albemarle since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Mustangs will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Monticello will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Monticello's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Charlottesville 1-0.

Meanwhile, Albemarle made easy work of Goochland on Thursday and carried off a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Albemarle, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Albemarle and bumps their season record up to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Monticello, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
