Clayton entered their tilt with South Garner on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clayton's got stronger as the match went on, holding South Garner to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-6.

Leading Clayton to victory were Layla Seremet and Emily Hornbeck. Seremet had nine digs and one assist, while Hornbeck had four digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Clayton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive contests.

Clayton's record now sits at 8-5. As for South Garner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Coincidentally, Clayton and South Garner will both be playing Garner the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Comets will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
