The Eastern Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Whiteoak Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Eastern barely beat North Adams the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Green Devils with a sharp 7-0 win last Monday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Green Devils recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Allie Grooms made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Emmery Simpson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Olivia Shelton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Eastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Whiteoak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Manchester, falling 16-0.

Eastern's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Whiteoak, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
