Baseball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alpaugh on Thursday, Laton came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Kings Christian Crusaders on Monday, falling 17-7. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-4 loss on April 4th.

Laton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for Kings Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1.

Looking ahead, Laton will take on San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Grizzlies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.91 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kings Christian, they will face off against Avenal at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
