Football Recap: Delran Bears vs. Overbrook Rams

With a playoff win on the line, Delran rose to the challenge on Saturday. They strolled past the Overbrook Rams with points to spare, taking the game 35-18. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Rams are ranked 142nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Delran had a senior duo take command as Vinny Sacca rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries and Justin Mary picked up 93 receiving yards and one score. Mary's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards.

Delran was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
