Basketball Recap: Madelynn Sadowski Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat New Britain

Berlin won the last time they faced New Britain and things went their way on Monday too. The Berlin Redcoats took down the New Britain Golden Hurricanes 61-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redcoats.

Berlin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madelynn Sadowski, who went 6-for-11 en route to 18 points and five assists. Sadowski is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games she's played. Katie Litwinko was another key player, going 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points.

Berlin's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for New Britain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berlin will welcome Middletown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Britain, they will face off against Southington at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Southington will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something New Britain surely won't give up without a fight.
