Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against Crestwood last Thursday, Jefferson Area came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Berkshire Badgers on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Badgers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

While Jefferson Area had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 17-25, 25-19.

Berkshire was led to victory by Delana Kellogg and Ava Chuha. Kellogg had 12 digs, while Chuha had 16 assists and eight digs. That's the most assists Chuha has posted since back in October of 2024.

Jefferson Area's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Berkshire, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Jefferson Area will be playing at home against St. John at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berkshire, they will head out on the road to square off against Cardinal at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
