Preview: Allen Eagles vs. North Crowley Panthers
The Allen Eagles will be playing at home against the North Crowley Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Allen sitting on four straight wins and North Crowley on 13.
With a playoff game on the line, Allen rose to the challenge on Saturday. They strolled past the Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 52-35. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Allen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Smith, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Ellis, who rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, North Crowley put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over Prosper.
Allen's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for North Crowley, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
