Volleyball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Takes a Loss

Batesburg-Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Kate Shealy paced Batesburg-Leesville's offense, picking up four kills. Shealy got some help from Molly Price and her eight assists.

Batesburg-Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Academy of Richmond County, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Batesburg-Leesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Spring Valley on the 6th. As for Academy of Richmond County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Greenbrier on the 3rd.
