Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Lincoln finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the Johnston Panthers by a score of 1-0. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Anna Danis was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Charlotte Labossiere was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
