The Lovejoy Wildcats will face off against the Banneker Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lovejoy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.9 points per game this season.

Lovejoy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 56-25 victory over Lithonia. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wildcats have posted since December 28, 2024.

It was another big night for Noah Banks, who went 6 of 9 to rack up 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Javion Barkley was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Banneker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Dutchtown 77-50. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

Banneker's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Lovejoy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.
