Cedarville hasn't had much luck against Southeastern Local recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Indians will challenge the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Cedarville sitting on three straight wins and Southeastern Local on ten.
Cedarville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Oakwood on Saturday as they made off with a 15-3 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Joscelyn Evans made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last 13 games.
In other batting news, Cedarville got a big performance out of Cat Caraway, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Ayden Rodgers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Cedarville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, while Southeastern Local put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Northeastern. The Trojans put the hurt on the Jets with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.
Southeastern Local's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cedarville, their record now sits at 8-6.
Cedarville suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Southeastern Local in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
