Preview: South Sevier Rams vs. Delta Rabbits
South Sevier is 0-5 against Delta since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Sevier Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Delta Rabbits at 6:00 p.m. South Sevier is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, South Sevier was just a hair shy of victory and fell 27-26 to Grand County.
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Boston Palmer, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Palmer was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Anthony Cornelius also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Delta's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Emery.
Delta might have lost, but man, Kadance Lovell was a machine: he picked up 155 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 85 yards on only six carries. Hunt Robinson was another key contributor, throwing for 332 yards and three touchdowns.
The losses dropped South Sevier to 1-8 and Delta to 5-5.
South Sevier was taken down by Delta 48-6 in their previous matchup back in September. Can South Sevier avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
