Softball Game Preview: Riverside Rams vs. Meridian Trojans

The Riverside Rams will face off against the Meridian Trojans at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lakeside hit Riverside with a eight-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to the Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Meridian lost 11-1 to Burlington-Edison on Thursday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meridian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Neil, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Neil has hit this season.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
