Basketball Game Preview: Orange Tornadoes vs. Seton Hall Prep Pirates

Orange is 0-6 against Seton Hall Prep since January of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Orange Tornadoes will take on the Seton Hall Prep Pirates at 12:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Wednesday, Orange slipped by Columbia 58-57.

Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Seton Hall Prep made off with a 55-54 victory over Arts. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Orange better keep an eye on Anthony Gonzalez. He was instrumental in Seton Hall Prep's win, putting up 31 points and five assists. Those 31 points gave Gonzalez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Guzzardo, who posted seven points and four steals.

Seton Hall Prep has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Orange, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Orange came up short against Seton Hall Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2018, falling 69-57. Can Orange avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
