Football Game Preview: Air Academy Kadets vs. Vista Ridge Wolves

Air Academy is 0-4 against Vista Ridge since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Kadets will host the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Air Academy's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Durango on Friday. They were beaten by the Demons 41-0. While losing is never fun, the Kadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Demons are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Vista Ridge entered their contest against Palmer Ridge on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolves took a blow against the Bears, falling 41-7. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Wolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Vista Ridge's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Air Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Things could have been worse for Air Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 21-7 loss to Vista Ridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2024.
