Volleyball Game Preview: Southport Cardinals vs. Marist RedHawks

The Southport Cardinals will take on the Marist RedHawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Southport sitting on five straight victories and Marist on 18.

On Monday, Southport got the win against Decatur Central by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-20, 25-12.

Niles Notre Dame typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Marist proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Dons.

Marist easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Marist pushed their record up to 25-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Southport, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
