Basketball Recap: Lincoln Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Lincoln rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 50-41 win over the New Albany Eagles. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Eagles are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for New Albany, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Coming up, Lincoln will head out to square off against Dublin Jerome at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dublin Jerome will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight. New Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
