Preview: Pinecrest Academy Paladins vs. Cherokee Christian Warriors
Pinecrest Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Cherokee Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Pinecrest Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-16 loss to The King's Academy. Pinecrest Academy was down 28-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Cherokee Christian can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 50-6 win over Walker. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Cherokee Christian's six-point performance the matchup before.
Cherokee Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Gavin Jarrard, who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns, and Jayben Meder, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
Pinecrest Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Cherokee Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Pinecrest Academy lost to Cherokee Christian on the road by a decisive 27-10 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Pinecrest Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
