Basketball Game Preview: Steilacoom Sentinels vs. Eatonville Cruisers

Steilacoom hasn't had much luck against Eatonville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Steilacoom Sentinels are taking a road trip to take on the Eatonville Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Steilacoom turned things around against Foss on Friday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 58-38 victory.

Meanwhile, Eatonville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They blew past the Lumberjacks, posting a 75-37 win. Given the Cruisers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eatonville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Steilacoom, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Steilacoom was taken down by Eatonville 66-27 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Steilacoom avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
