Soccer Recap: Boaz Takes a Loss

Boaz fought the good fight in their overtime match against Douglas on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Boaz were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Douglas earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Boaz has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-2 record this season. As for Douglas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9-1.

Coincidentally, Boaz and Douglas will both be playing Crossville the next time they take the pitch. The Eagles will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
