Spectrum took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Kimball Cubs 3-2. For the Sting, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Cubs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Spectrum wouldn't go down easily and took Kimball into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-23, 25-12, 23-25, 15-13.

Kimball now has a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Spectrum and PACT Charter will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Kimball, they will face off against Dassel-Cokato at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
