Volleyball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

If Warren was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of La Mirada last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell just short of the Downey Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Warren sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 23-25, 27-25, 18-25, 15-9.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Downey, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Warren and Downey will both be playing Norwalk the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Lancers on Thursday, while the Bears will host them at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
