Football Recap: Dennis Tuaone Key Part of Team Effort in Thunderbirds Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Springville, Timpview was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pleasant Grove Vikings by a score of 19-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timpview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dennis Tuaone, who rushed for 69 yards, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Braxton Wilkerson was another key receiver, picking up 50 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Timpview's run defense was locked in: Pleasant Grove could only muster -0.8 yards per carry. The Thunderbirds' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove still got an impressive performance from Ryder Huntsman, who picked up 143 receiving yards and one TD.

Timpview's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
