Football Recap: Dennis Tuaone Key Part of Team Effort in Thunderbirds Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Springville, Timpview was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 19-7 victory over the Pleasant Grove Vikings.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timpview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dennis Tuaone, who rushed for 69 yards, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Braxton Wilkerson also helped with two TDs in total.

Timpview's run defense was locked in: Pleasant Grove could only muster -0.8 yards per carry. The Thunderbirds' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.

When it comes to explaining why Pleasant Grove lost, don't look at Ryder Huntsman. Despite the final result, he picked up 143 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Timpview's record now sits at 4-5. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Timpview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 34-7 win against Spanish Fork on the 15th. As for Pleasant Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 48-0 victory against Payson on the 15th.
