Basketball Recap: Lindbergh's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lindbergh had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's game, but James Huff didn't let it get to four. The Lindbergh Eagles strolled past the Foster Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 67-53 thanks in part to Huff, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. What's more, he also racked up five steals, the most he's had since back in January of 2024.

John Choul was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Despite the defeat, Foster had strong showings from Jeremiah White, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards, and Myjeer Rigney, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 19 points along with five boards and five steals. White is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Khadar Abdullahi was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lindbergh's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Foster, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

The future could be bright for both Lindbergh and Foster: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Lindbergh will try to hand Tyee their seventh-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Foster will try to hand Jefferson their 11th-straight loss when the two meet at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
