Columbus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 38-7 win over the Hardaway Hawks. With the Blue Devils ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Rayshaun Glover and Grant Geringer. Glover gained 99 total yards and two touchdowns while Geringer rushed for 90 yards on only nine carries. Those 90 rushing yards gave Geringer a new career-high.

Columbus was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 250 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hardaway only rushed for 109.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Columbus, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Andrew Smith Iv, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hardaway, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 40-7 win against Kendrick on the 17th. As for Hardaway, they have also already played their next game, a 48-7 victory against Jordan on the 16th.
