Enumclaw came out on top against Jefferson on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Hornets won by a run and slipped past the Raiders 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since March 23rd.

Colby Soimis was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Kuzaro, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Enumclaw is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Enumclaw will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
