Baseball Recap: Bangs Has No Trouble Against Brady

Bangs hadn't done well against Brady recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went the Bangs Dragons' way against the Brady Bulldogs as the Bangs Dragons made off with a 13-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Skylar Minshew made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he also racked up four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bangs let Jackson Edmisten and Everett Kirchner loose on the outfield. Edmisten scored two runs and stole three bases, while Kirchner scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Rex Guerrero was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Bangs now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Bangs will take on Lipan in a tournament on Thursday. As for Brady, they will be taking part in a tournament against De Leon at 7:15 p.m. on February 21st.
