Basketball Game Preview: Cottondale Hornets vs. Chipley Tigers

The Cottondale Hornets will square off against the Chipley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cottondale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Chipley likes a good challenge.

Cottondale is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Port St. Joe just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Tiger Sharks 59-55.

Meanwhile, Chipley beat Ponce De Leon 47-35 last Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Cottondale's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Chipley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Cottondale beat Chipley 52-42 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Cottondale repeat their success, or does Chipley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
