Football Recap: Silver Creek Piles Up the Points Against Del Mar

There's no place like home for Silver Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Del Mar Dons 42-7. Considering the Raiders have won three games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Alijah Guzman produced another solid performance rushing for 133 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Silver Creek is undefeated when Guzman posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Guzman was just one part of a punishing run game: Silver Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. The Raiders are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Silver Creek now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Del Mar, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Silver Creek will take on rival Overfelt at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 14.1, the Royals 14.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Del Mar is set to square off against their familiar foe Pioneer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
