Basketball Recap: Chestatee Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pickens, Chestatee was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 50-37 win over the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-49 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Greater Atlanta Christian still got an impressive performance from Asia Johnson, who posted nine points in addition to three steals and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dru Jeckewicz, who had six points and six boards.

Chestatee has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Chestatee has already played their next game, a 68-18 victory against Johnson on the 25th. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-46 loss against Parkview on the 25th.
