Volleyball Recap: Penasco Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Penasco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the McCurdy Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 9th.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-10.

Emilia Trujillo paced Penasco's offense, picking up four kills. Trujillo got some help from Katalina Atencio and her six assists. Trujillo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Penasco's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for McCurdy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Penasco has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Escalante on the 30th. As for McCurdy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Mora on the 30th.
