Volleyball Recap: Covenant Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Covenant Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Georgia Arts on Tuesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Georgia Arts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 16-25, 22-3.

Central Georgia Arts' victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy will square off against First Presbyterian Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Central Georgia Arts, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mount de Sales Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
