Baseball Recap: Canon City's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Canon City waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Palmer Terrors with a sharp 15-1 win. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season.

Trey Schumaker was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Chavez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Canon City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Canon City's record now sits at 9-6. As for Palmer, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Canon City will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Terrors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
